If you want an alternative to Valley of Fire without the hefty permit, this is it. Just past Logandale, these beautiful red rocks and views are actually the backside of VOF park. Some off road driving is necessary, but my parent’s Camry did just fine on the dirt road. Moderate walking / light hiking is required to scramble over rocks to the best spots, so flat shoes are recommended. This spot is definitely worth the drive! This location is suitable for evening sessions.
