Wheeler Springs

West Las Vegas, south of Red Rock Canyon

Moderately walkable, dogs not recommended. No additional permit.

Another great location that offers a mix of greenery and desert views. Lots of desert brush, as well as some big overhanging trees. Location is along a wash, and all walking is along dirt paths or through the rocky wash. A short walk through the brush rewards you with a shaded green meadow. Flat shoes recommended. Once the sun sets, there are open views of Red Rock Canyon. This location is suitable for evening sessions.
